A farewell to Bill
Bill was 73 when he died recently. He was abandoned as a baby due to his intellectual disability.
He spent his entire life in care. His carers gave me a glimpse into his life. They loved him. Perhaps more than family as they chose to love him.
Carers for people like Bill do an amazing job. One of his care support workers summed it up brilliantly during today’s service.
She said staff who supported Bill over the years ensured that he enjoyed his life and lived it to the fullest.
Can we really ask for more? Rest In Peace Billy Boy.
Enjoy those car rides in the sky and keep smiling wide.
